Marsha McKim
|
What did you do prior to becoming a recruiter?
A: Prior
to becoming a recruiter I spent over 15 years in the wine and spirit
industry. The majority of that time was devoted to positions in
National Sales.
Q: Why
did you decide to become a recruiter and what year (xx, xx, xxxx)
did you become a recruiter?
A: I
became a recruiter in a March of 1998
Q: Why
did you become a recruiter?
A. During
my last five years in the wine & spirits industry, I found
myself yearning to do something that truly made a difference in the
lives of others. I am happy to report that Recruiting has given me
the type of self fulfillment I was seeking during that time.
Q: Who were your role models and
are you mentoring others now?
A: My early role models were for
the most part other recruiters, many of whom had been recruiting for
25 years or more. Their contribution to my success was invaluable.
From time to time I enjoy mentoring new recruiters; however I find I
spend much more time mentoring sales candidates.
Q: If you were asked what your
job title is, how would you respond?
A: I am President of Management
Performance Associates, a National Staffing firm that specializes in
Consumer Goods Sales and Marketing roles.
Q: Is your primary job function
sales driven or recruiting driven?
A: Definitely recruiting driven.
Q: Why did you join USRC and
what prompts you to continue to be a member?
A: I joined USRC because it was
recommended to me by another member, Joel Rice. Thanks, Joel! That
was a GREAT tip!
